An evolution of note taking.

Remember Google Notes, aka mid 2005ish, somewhere around there. And Evernote came out and replaced many note taking apps, it was excellent, categorized organized note taking. I have been taking notes on it throughout many projects over the past 12 years or so.

Well, I have been checking out a new note application which seems like the Note 2.0 of note taking….

It’s Obisidian, and it’s awesome…… It looks and works like evernote, yet faster, it has a super cool visual linking mapping view, and even better it uses standard local folders with markdown files…. so your notes are yours to store and keep how you like in a modern format that everyone uses. rather than a proprietary document hosted format.

The worlds moving to open standards with privacy, and this is great step towards that goal.
